De'Longhi Dinamica vs Magnifica Evo: which bean-to-cup suits you?
The Dinamica ECAM350.35.W is sold at De'Longhi UK, while the Magnifica Evo starts at £299.00 at Currys (checked 3 Oct 2026). Here's how the milk, controls and drinks differ.

If you’re weighing up the De’Longhi Dinamica vs Magnifica Evo, the surprise is that the older-sounding Dinamica isn’t the cheaper machine today. De’Longhi UK lists the Dinamica ECAM350.35.W (check price at De’Longhi UK), while the Magnifica Evo starts at £299.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026, for the ECAM290.31.SB. We haven’t tested this in person. Our comparison is based on De’Longhi UK’s and Currys’ published specs and the UK prices we found on 3 Oct 2026. Read how we compare.
Both are bean-to-cup machines that grind fresh beans for each drink, run on a 15-bar pump and 1450W of power, and use Thermoblock heating, according to De’Longhi UK. The real differences are the screen, the milk system you choose and how much you pay on the day.
De’Longhi Dinamica vs Magnifica Evo: the short answer
Choose the Dinamica if you like the idea of an LCD screen and touch buttons, and you’re happy to froth milk yourself with a wand.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a latte or cappuccino at the press of a button. The Dinamica we found uses manual milk frothing.
Choose the Magnifica Evo if you want either the lowest outlay or automatic milk. The manual-wand ECAM290.31.SB is the cheapest machine here, and the ECAM290.61.SB adds De’Longhi’s LatteCrema Hot milk system (check price at De’Longhi UK).
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a text screen to guide them through settings. The Evo uses picture icons rather than an LCD.

The model lines explained
De’Longhi uses each name across several model codes, so the code matters more than the name on the box.
- Dinamica ECAM350.35.W is the white Dinamica on De’Longhi UK, and the only Dinamica machine we found listed there on 3 Oct 2026. Its product title says “One Touch, 7 drinks”, but the product text mentions “4 one-touch recipes”, so we’d treat the drinks count as unclear until you check the listing.
- Dinamica Plus appears as a range heading on De’Longhi UK, but we couldn’t find a Dinamica Plus machine listed there or in Currys’ search results on 3 Oct 2026, so we haven’t priced or compared it here.
- Magnifica Evo ECAM290.21.B is the black Evo with a traditional milk frother and four one-touch drinks.
- Magnifica Evo ECAM290.61.SB is the silver Evo with LatteCrema Hot, which De’Longhi UK lists with five one-touch drinks.
- Magnifica Evo ECAM290.31.SB is the silver-and-black Evo that Currys sells with a steam wand.
Currys also sells a Magnifica Evo Next and a Magnifica Plus, which we cover in other comparisons. We didn’t find any Dinamica in Currys’ search results on the day we checked.

Milk: the biggest choice
This is where your decision really lies. De’Longhi UK lists the Dinamica ECAM350.35.W with manual hot milk frothing. You hold a jug under the wand, stretch and heat the milk, and judge when it’s ready. The wand also gives you steam and hot water. It takes a little practice, but it gives you control over the texture.
The Magnifica Evo comes both ways. The ECAM290.21.B and the Currys ECAM290.31.SB froth milk manually, like the Dinamica. The ECAM290.61.SB uses LatteCrema Hot, De’Longhi’s automatic milk system, which makes milk drinks without you steaming anything by hand.
On today’s prices, that leaves the Dinamica in an awkward spot. If you want manual milk, the Evo ECAM290.31.SB is £100 cheaper at Currys. If you want automatic milk, the Evo ECAM290.61.SB is still £50 cheaper than the Dinamica at De’Longhi UK.
If you’d like milk foam without steaming at the machine, a separate frother is another route. Our guide to the best milk frothers covers UK options.
Who it isn’t for: if you never take milk, the milk system matters less, and price and controls should decide it.
Controls, screen and drinks
De’Longhi UK lists touch controls on both lines. The Dinamica pairs touch buttons with an LCD display and a “My” button for saving personalised drinks. The Evo uses a soft-touch panel with colour icons on the ECAM290.21.B, and De’Longhi lists the ECAM290.61.SB with “Icons and LED”.
For drinks, De’Longhi UK lists four one-touch drinks for the ECAM290.21.B and five for the ECAM290.61.SB. The Dinamica’s page is less clear, as noted above, so check the listing on the day if the number of drinks matters to you.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a full colour touchscreen with lots of milk recipes. Neither line offers that on the specs we found, and you’d need to look further up De’Longhi’s range.
Size and practical details

Downsides of both
- Model-code confusion. Both names cover several codes with different milk systems and prices.
- Unclear Dinamica drinks count. De’Longhi UK’s title and product text give different numbers.
- Limited Dinamica choice. We found only one Dinamica sold in the UK on 3 Oct 2026, and none at Currys.
- Missing specs. We couldn’t confirm grind settings for any of these models, or a tank size for the Dinamica.
