De'Longhi Dinamica review: a mid-range bean-to-cup with a manual milk frother

De'Longhi UK sells one Dinamica, the ECAM350.35.W, and listed no Dinamica Plus on 3 Oct 2026. Here's what the Dinamica offers, what it costs and who should look elsewhere.

This De’Longhi Dinamica review covers the ECAM350.35.W, the white version with a manual milk frother, because it’s the only Dinamica De’Longhi UK listed when we checked on 3 Oct 2026. If you were hoping for a De’Longhi Dinamica Plus review, there’s a catch: De’Longhi UK’s Dinamica Plus section showed no products that day, and the first page of Currys’ search results showed no Dinamica model either. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on De’Longhi UK’s published specs, UK prices checked 3 Oct 2026 and Tech Advisor’s review of this exact ECAM350.35.W, published in January 2019. We couldn’t find owner reviews we could link, so there’s no owner feedback on this page. Read how we compare.

De’Longhi Dinamica Plus review: the short answer

We couldn’t find a Dinamica Plus listed at De’Longhi UK or Currys on 3 Oct 2026, so we can’t recommend one. The standard Dinamica is easier to judge.

Buy the Dinamica ECAM350.35.W if you mostly drink espresso or black coffee and want to tweak strength and length, then save the result so the machine remembers it. Check price at De’Longhi UK.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants lattes at one touch, or iced coffee. The frother is manual, and De’Longhi UK lists only hot drinks for this model.

Choose the Magnifica Start instead if plain espresso and longer coffees are all you need and you’d rather spend less. It’s £299.00 at Appliances Direct, checked 3 Oct 2026. Our Magnifica Start review has the detail. De’Longhi Magnifica Start ECAM220.22.GB: See it at Appliances Direct for De’Longhi Magnifica Start ECAM220.22.GB (opens in a new tab)

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants the Doppio+ drink or a menu of saved recipes. De’Longhi UK’s spec list includes both for the Dinamica, but neither for the Start.

Choose the Rivelia instead if you want automatic milk, iced drinks and two bean hoppers. It’s £594 at Currys (prices can change) and £749.99 at De’Longhi UK, where it was out of stock, both checked 3 Oct 2026. Who it isn’t for: black-coffee drinkers on a budget, who’d be paying for milk and iced features they won’t use.

What it costs right now

  • De’Longhi UK: Check price at De’Longhi UK. It was in stock on 3 Oct 2026. See the Dinamica at De’Longhi UK
  • Currys: searches for “dinamica” and “delonghi dinamica” returned other De’Longhi machines but no Dinamica on the first page of results (checked 3 Oct 2026), so we have no Currys price.
  • John Lewis: Check current price. Its search page didn’t load for us on 3 Oct 2026. Search John Lewis

If its price goes back up, the Dinamica moves well above the Evo and Start at the prices below.

Dinamica vs Dinamica Plus: which models you can buy

De’Longhi’s UK site has a separate Dinamica Plus section under its automatic coffee makers. On 3 Oct 2026, the main Dinamica section listed a single product, the ECAM350.35.W, and the Dinamica Plus section listed none. Without a current UK listing, we can’t give a Plus price, model code or specs, so we’ve left it out rather than guess.

The name alone won’t tell you which milk system you’re getting. Tech Advisor’s 2019 review noted that the Dinamica versions it named ending in 55 and 75 had a built-in milk system, while the 35 uses a hand frother. Check the full code before you pay.

Who it isn’t for: anyone set on a Dinamica Plus. For automatic milk from De’Longhi today, our guide to De’Longhi coffee machines lists the current options.

What you get: specs and controls

De’Longhi UK lists these for the ECAM350.35.W (checked 3 Oct 2026):

  • Drinks: espresso, coffee, long and Doppio+, plus hot water and steam. The product title says 7 drinks, while the description mentions 4 one-touch recipes.
  • Adjustments: an aroma (strength) function, adjustable length, a twin-shot function and a “My” menu, which De’Longhi files under advanced personalisation, for saving your own settings.
  • Hardware: touch controls, a 15-bar pump, 1450W, a 1.8-litre water tank and a grounds container that holds 14 servings.
  • Extras: a pre-ground coffee function, programmable water hardness and a water filter De’Longhi calls “applicable”. We couldn’t confirm which filter fits, so we haven’t priced one.
  • Size and warranty: 236 x 429 x 348mm, 9.515kg and a 2-year warranty.

De’Longhi’s page doesn’t give the bean hopper’s size, the number of grind settings or what’s in the box. Tech Advisor describes a conical grinder with room for a standard 250g bag, and says pre-ground coffee goes in one scoop at a time. That’s not a maker’s figure, so treat it as a guide.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants the dose and grind control of a manual espresso machine. These are presets you tweak, not barista tools.

Milk: what the frother does and doesn’t do

De’Longhi describes the frother as adjustable: foam milk for a cappuccino or heat it for a caffè latte. Either way, you hold the jug yourself. Tech Advisor found steam came quickly, but said getting the texture right takes practice.

There’s no milk carafe to wash, but each milky drink means frothing, pouring and wiping the nozzle.

Who it isn’t for: households making several lattes or cappuccinos in a row each morning. An automatic milk system will save effort.

What Tech Advisor says

Tech Advisor’s Dominic Preston reviewed this exact ECAM350.35.W in a piece published in January 2019. In our words, it reported that:

  • The machine puts convenience ahead of control. It heats and rinses itself on start-up and was ready within 30 seconds.
  • Presets can be adjusted as you brew and saved as your own versions.
  • The display warns you when the tank is empty or the grounds container is full, and both come out without moving the machine.
  • The coffee was consistently strong, though the default setting came out a little weak and the crema was thinner than the reviewer liked. Turning up the aroma setting helped.
  • Keen home baristas who want deeper controls should look elsewhere.

That test is more than seven years old, and Tech Advisor gave the official UK price then as £699.99. The model code is the same, but we can’t confirm whether De’Longhi has changed anything since.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a recent expert test before buying. We didn’t find one.

Dinamica vs Magnifica Evo and Rivelia

Against the Magnifica Evo ECAM290.21.B. The Evo is £419.99 at De’Longhi UK, checked 3 Oct 2026; check price at De’Longhi UK for the Dinamica. Both have a 1.8-litre tank, a 15-bar pump, 1450W, a 14-serving grounds container and a manual frother, according to De’Longhi UK. The Dinamica’s spec list adds Doppio+, hot water and the “My” menu, none of which appear on that Evo’s list. The Evo measures 240 x 440 x 360mm and weighs 9.44kg, against 236 x 429 x 348mm and 9.515kg for the Dinamica. De’Longhi Magnifica Evo: See it at De’Longhi for De’Longhi Magnifica Evo (opens in a new tab)

Against the Rivelia EXAM440.55.B. The Rivelia is £594 at Currys (prices can change) and £749.99 at De’Longhi UK, where it was out of stock, both checked 3 Oct 2026. De’Longhi UK lists automatic milk through LatteCrema Hot, iced coffee, iced espresso and iced Americano, two swappable 250g bean hoppers and four user profiles. The catches are a smaller 1.4-litre tank and a 10-serving grounds container, against 1.8 litres and 14 servings on the Dinamica.

Who it isn’t for: anyone choosing on the range name alone. De’Longhi prices change often, so compare exact codes on the day.

Downsides

  • Manual milk. Every milky drink needs a jug and some technique.
  • No iced coffee. De’Longhi UK lists only hot drinks for the ECAM350.35.W.
  • Gaps in the spec sheet. De’Longhi’s page doesn’t give the hopper size, grind settings or box contents.
  • Old evidence. The only test we found is Tech Advisor’s from January 2019, and we couldn’t link any owner reviews.
  • Thin availability. De’Longhi UK was the only retailer we could confirm.
  • Prices can change. Check price at De’Longhi UK on the day you buy.
  • Weight. 9.515kg, according to De’Longhi UK.
