This De’Longhi PrimaDonna Soul review covers the brand’s app-connected bean-to-cup machine, the ECAM610.75.MB, which De’Longhi UK lists at £1,379.99, checked 3 Oct 2026. It was shown as out of stock on De’Longhi’s site that day. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on De’Longhi UK’s published specs and UK prices checked 3 Oct 2026. Read how we compare.

The short version: the PrimaDonna Soul is about capacity, personalisation and app control rather than one headline trick. If you won’t use the app or the profiles, a cheaper De’Longhi will make much the same espresso and cappuccino.

De’Longhi PrimaDonna Soul review: the short answer

Buy it if several people in your home drink coffee every day, each likes their drinks a particular way, and you’d value a bigger water tank and bean hopper. Five user profiles and app-built recipes are the reasons to pay this much.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who mainly drinks espresso or a simple flat white. You’d be paying a lot for features that sit unused.

Still deciding on the type of machine? Our guide to bean-to-cup machines explains how they work and what to look for before you spend this kind of money.

What it costs right now

  • PrimaDonna Soul ECAM610.75.MB: £1,379.99 at De’Longhi UK, checked 3 Oct 2026. The page showed it as out of stock.
  • Currys: Check current price. When we searched Currys on 3 Oct 2026, it listed other De’Longhi machines, including the PrimaDonna Aromatic, but not the PrimaDonna Soul.
  • Amazon UK and other retailers: Check current price. We couldn’t confirm a price ourselves, so we haven’t given one.

Because De’Longhi’s own shop showed no stock, it’s worth checking other UK retailers before you buy, and making sure any listing carries the ECAM610.75.MB model code. De’Longhi sells several PrimaDonna machines with similar names, and the PrimaDonna Aromatic is a different model.

Who it isn’t for: anyone with a firm budget of £1,000. If that’s your limit, our round-up of the best bean-to-cup machines under £1,000 is a better starting point.

Bean Adapt and the grinder

De’Longhi’s big claim for the PrimaDonna Soul is Bean Adapt Technology. According to De’Longhi UK, you tell the machine which beans you’re using and it sets the grind size and brewing settings to suit them. The aim is to save you the fiddly trial and error that usually comes with a new bag of beans.

How well that works will depend on the coffee you buy, so treat Bean Adapt as a helpful starting point rather than a guarantee of a perfect cup. You can still adjust strength and length yourself, and De’Longhi UK also lists an aroma function and a twin-shot option for making two espressos at once.

The bean hopper holds 500g, which De’Longhi UK lists for this model. That’s a full standard bag of beans in most cases, so you’ll top it up less often than on smaller machines.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who likes to swap between two different beans during the week. The Rivelia’s two swappable hoppers suit that better. Our De’Longhi Rivelia review explains how they work. De’Longhi Rivelia EXAM440.55: See it at Currys for De’Longhi Rivelia EXAM440.55 (opens in a new tab)

Screen, app and profiles

You control the PrimaDonna Soul through a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen. De’Longhi UK says it supports up to five user profiles, so each person can save their own preferred drinks.

The other big feature is De’Longhi’s Coffee Link app. De’Longhi UK says the app lets you create and customise recipes and manage profiles. Its spec data confirms that you can create your own recipes, but only through the app. If you don’t want an app on your phone, you can still use the machine’s own menu, but you’ll lose the recipe builder.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who’d rather not connect a coffee machine to an app. Without the app, you lose a large part of what you’re paying extra for.

Drinks and milk

De’Longhi’s figures for the drinks menu don’t quite agree. Its UK listing headlines “21 drinks”, while the product summary on the same page says up to 18 one-touch coffee and milk drinks. Either way, the menu is long.

Its spec data lists these coffee recipes: espresso, Doppio+, coffee, long, americano, long black, coffee pot and Over Ice. The coffee pot option makes a larger batch of coffee to share. The milk recipes include cappuccino, Cappuccino +, cappuccino mix, flat white, cortado, caffelatte, latte macchiato, espresso macchiato and hot milk.

Milk is handled by De’Longhi’s LatteCrema Hot system, which froths milk automatically from a carafe. De’Longhi UK says the carafe cleans itself automatically. The only cold drink De’Longhi lists is Over Ice, a coffee poured over ice. We didn’t see cold milk foam among this model’s features, so if iced lattes matter to you, check before you buy.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who mostly drinks one drink. A long menu only adds value if you’ll actually use it.

Size, water and cleaning

De’Longhi UK lists the dimensions as 262 x 485 x 390mm. The 485mm depth is worth measuring against your worktop, especially if your sockets are near the front. The maximum cup height is 140mm, so check that your tallest glasses and travel mugs will fit.

The water tank holds 2.2 litres, which is noticeably bigger than the 1.4-litre tanks on some De’Longhi machines, so you’ll refill it less often. De’Longhi UK lists 19-bar pump pressure, 1,450W of power, a Thermoblock with a second heating system, and a grounds container that takes 14 portions.

You can also set the water hardness for your area, so the machine knows when to remind you to descale. As with any bean-to-cup machine, you’ll still need to empty the grounds and drip tray, keep the milk carafe clean and descale when it asks.

Who it isn’t for: small kitchens with limited worktop depth or low wall cupboards. Measure before you order.

Downsides

  • The price: £1,379.99 at De’Longhi UK, checked 3 Oct 2026, which is a lot more than De’Longhi’s mid-range machines.
  • Availability: it was out of stock at De’Longhi UK and wasn’t listed at Currys when we checked.
  • Unclear drink count: De’Longhi UK quotes both 18 and 21 drinks.
  • App-dependent recipes: you can only create your own recipes through the Coffee Link app.
  • Cup height and depth: a 140mm maximum cup height and a 485mm depth won’t suit every kitchen.
