Rave Coffee: the Cirencester roaster's range and how to buy

Rave Coffee roasts in Cirencester and sells blends, single origins, decaf, pods and coffee bags, ground to order. Here's the range, prices today, how Subscribe & Save works and what owners say.

Rave coffee comes from a roastery and café in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, and its online shop sells blends, single origins, decaf, Nespresso-compatible pods and coffee bags, with every bag available as whole beans or ground for cafetière, filter or espresso. This guide covers the range, prices on 3 Oct 2026, how the subscription works and what recent customer reviews mention. We haven’t tested this in person. The facts here come from Rave’s own shop and FAQ. Read how we compare.

Rave coffee: the short answer

Start with Signature Blend Nº 1 if you want Rave’s best-seller. Rave describes it as smooth and balanced, with chocolate, caramel and almond, and it was £7.95 for 250g at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a light, fruity coffee. Rave’s single origins are the place to look for that.

Choose The Italian Job Nº 2 if you drink lattes and flat whites. Rave roasts it darker than usual and adds some Robusta so it cuts through milk. It’s also the cheapest blend we saw, at £7.64 for 250g at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Who it isn’t for: anyone avoiding Robusta or wanting a gentler cup.

Subscribe if you get through a bag or more a month. Subscribe & Save takes 10% off every order.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who only wants to try one bag. A one-off 250g bag is fine for that.

The blends and prices

All prices below are one-off prices at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026. Each comes in 250g or 1kg bags.

  • Signature Blend Nº 1: £7.95 or £27.03. Rave calls it its signature blend, “where it all started”.
  • The Italian Job Blend Nº 2: £7.64 or £25.98. Rave’s take on a continental blend, with walnut and dark chocolate.
  • Espresso Blend Nº 4: £8.10 or £27.54. Rave says this was a wholesale-only blend before it was released to everyone, with toffee, dark chocolate and cinnamon notes.
  • Fudge Blend Nº 5: £8.23 or £27.98. Rave recommends it for flat whites or cappuccinos made with whole milk.
  • Chatswood Blend Nº 6: £7.99 or £27.17. One of Rave’s darker roasts, described as “a big chocolate bomb”.
  • Seasonal Organic Blend Nº 7: £9.45 or £32.13. From the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia, described as a medium roast with toffee, cocoa and hazelnut.
  • Strong AF Blend Nº 666: £8.53 or £28.97. Rave says it’s the darkest coffee it sells.

The 1kg bags work out cheaper per gram. Signature Blend is £31.80 a kilo in 250g bags against £27.03 for the 1kg bag.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants very dark, oily beans. Rave’s FAQ says its dark roasts “will never be as dark or oily” as some supermarket beans.

Single origins and decaf

Rave listed 23 single origins in stock on 3 Oct 2026, from £8.30 for 250g of Brazil Guima Estate Nº 303 up to £15.32 for Ethiopia Gara Agena Nº 382, both at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026. They include an Indian Monsoon Malabar, Colombian and Ethiopian coffees, and change through the year.

Rave has a broad decaf range. Options on 3 Oct 2026 included:

  • Signature Blend Decaf Nº 1D: £9.95 for 250g or £33.85 for 1kg. Rave notes a temporary blend change to coffees from Colombia and Guatemala.
  • Swiss Water Decaf Blend Nº 11: £8.95 for 250g or £30.45 for 1kg.
  • Half Caf Blend Nº 13: £8.42 for 250g.
  • Single-origin decafs, including Colombia El Carmen Sugarcane Decaf Nº 77 at £9.95 for 250g.

All at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Who it isn’t for: anyone wanting decaf pods only. Rave has one Swiss Water decaf pod, covered below.

Grind options

Every 250g and 1kg bag we checked could be ordered as whole beans or ground for cafetière, filter or espresso. If you buy beans, our guide to burr grinders under £100 covers the options.

Rave’s FAQ adds a useful note: its Loring roaster roasts from the inside out, so beans can look lighter than they are. It suggests grinding a small sample to judge the roast.

Pods, coffee bags and taster packs

  • Pods: Signature, Italian Job, Strong AF and Swiss Water Decaf in Nespresso-compatible pods. Signature was £4.20 for 10, £19.95 for 50 or £37.80 for 100 at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026. Rave says they’re home compostable and work in domestic drop-through Nespresso machines, but not Vertuo, professional or built-in models, and that they’re designed for 25–35ml shots, so you may need to adjust your machine. See our capsule coffee guide for more.
  • Coffee bags: Signature Blend and Signature Decaf, £4.95 for 10 individually wrapped compostable bags at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026. Rave says to steep for 3 minutes.
  • Taster pack: six 100g bags of best-selling blends, whole bean, £25.95 at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Who it isn’t for: anyone with a Nespresso Vertuo machine. Rave’s pods don’t fit it.

Subscribe & Save and delivery

Rave’s subscription takes 10% off every order. You can change products or delivery dates or cancel from your account, and Rave says it emails before each delivery. Subscriptions of 1kg or more get free delivery.

Gift subscriptions were £29.85 for three months, up to £119.40 for 12, at Rave Coffee, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Delivery on one-off orders is free over £25, by Royal Mail Tracked, and Rave says it roasts to order and dispatches the next working day. We couldn’t see the delivery charge below £25 without starting checkout.

What customers say

Rave collects reviews through REVIEWS.io, which you can read on its REVIEWS.io page. We read 60 recent reviews from mid to late September 2026. Bear in mind these are reviews the company collects itself.

  • Common praise: quick dispatch and delivery, helpful customer service, the range of coffees and the decaf choice. One reviewer liked that 250g bags let them try a coffee before buying more.
  • Complaints we saw: one owner said the pods leaked around the seal in a KitchenAid Artisan machine, and another said a 1kg bag of Monsoon Malabar was sour.

We report these as themes only, not as a verdict.
