De’Longhi Dinamica Plus vs Magnifica Plus: the short answer

Buy the Magnifica Plus if you want a De’Longhi touchscreen bean-to-cup with automatic milk now. It’s the one of the two you can order from De’Longhi UK.

Wait for the Dinamica Plus only if you’ve found a UK seller you trust and want its longer drinks menu. On paper it has 24 drinks and a slightly smaller body.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants cold milk foam. Neither has LatteCrema Cool, though both list iced or over-ice coffee.

Drinks and screen

  • Magnifica Plus: a 3.5-inch full-touch colour display with up to four user profiles, per De’Longhi UK. The black ECAM320.60.B lists 15 one-touch drinks, including flat white, caffelatte and Doppio+. The ECAM322.70.SB and ECAM320.70.TB list 18, adding drinks such as cold americano and cortado.
  • Dinamica Plus: a 3.5-inch full-touch colour display with soft-touch icons and 24 drinks, per De’Longhi’s international site. Its recipe list adds ristretto, espresso lungo and Galão, and De’Longhi lists user profiles as a key feature.

Who it isn’t for: anyone choosing on drink count alone. Most extra drinks are variations on espresso and milk.

Milk system

Both use LatteCrema Hot Technology, which De’Longhi says makes automatic hot milk foam and cleans itself with one touch after each use. Neither page lists cold milk foam. For iced drinks, the Magnifica Plus lists iced coffee (and iced americano on the 18-drink models), and the Dinamica Plus lists an Over Ice recipe.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants iced lattes with cold foam. Look at De’Longhi’s LatteCrema Hot & Cool machines instead.

Size and capacity

Magnifica Plus (ECAM320.60.B) Dinamica Plus (ECAM380.95.TB)
Size (W x D x H) 24 x 44 x 36cm 23.6 x 42.9 x 34.8cm

Grounds container 10 14
Pump pressure 15 bar 15 bar
Power 1450W 1450W
Max cup height 133mm 133mm

The Dinamica Plus is slightly smaller and holds more used pucks. De’Longhi doesn’t give a bean hopper size on either page, so we’ve left it out. The ECAM322.70.SB’s tank figure on De’Longhi UK appears to be a typo, so check it before buying.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who needs exact hopper capacity. Ask De’Longhi before you buy.

Which should you buy?

For most UK buyers the choice is made for you: the Magnifica Plus is sold here, with a two-year warranty from De’Longhi UK. Pick the 18-drink ECAM322.70.SB if you want cold americano and cortado presets, or the 15-drink black ECAM320.60.B at the same price.
