Philips 3300 review: the short answer
Buy the 3300 LatteGo (EP3347/90) if you want cappuccino, latte macchiato and iced coffee at one touch, with a milk system that’s quick to clean. Philips UK lists five pre-programmed drinks plus hot water.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants each person’s drink saved. Philips UK lists no user profiles on the 3300.
Buy the 3300 classic frother (EP3326/90) if you mostly drink black coffee and iced coffee and are happy to froth milk with a wand. It’s £160 less than the LatteGo version at Philips UK.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants milky drinks at one touch.
Skip the 3300 if you just want fresh-bean espresso and a steam wand for the lowest price. The Philips 2200 EP2220/10 was £279 at John Lewis, checked 3 Oct 2026; see our Philips 2200 review. Philips Series 2200 EP2220/10: See it at John Lewis for Philips Series 2200 EP2220/10 (opens in a new tab)

Drinks and controls
- EP3347/90: Philips UK’s spec table lists espresso, coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato and iced coffee, plus hot water. The feature list calls that six drinks.
- EP3326/90: Philips UK lists espresso, coffee, americano, espresso lungo, iced coffee, hot water and warm milk, with five pre-programmed.
Philips says the iced coffee setting brews with a slower flow rate and at a lower temperature, so you can pour it over ice without losing intensity.
Both have a touch display with coloured icons and My Coffee Choice, which Philips says lets you set strength, length and milk froth level.
Who it isn’t for: flat white fans. Neither spec table lists one.
Milk: LatteGo or classic frother
The EP3347/90’s LatteGo is a 0.26-litre milk container that froths and pours milk into your cup, according to Philips UK. Philips says it has two parts and no tubes, can be cleaned in 10 seconds under the tap or in the dishwasher, and works with plant-based milk. Philips also notes it doesn’t offer automatic cleaning.
The EP3326/90’s classic milk frother is a wand. Philips says it makes thick-frothed milk for cappuccinos or hot milk for hot chocolate.
Who it isn’t for: latte art fans. Neither is designed for fine microfoam control.
Noise
Philips UK lists SilentBrew on both models, which it says uses sound shielding and quiet grinding to make them 40% quieter than earlier Philips models, with Quiet Mark certification.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who needs a decibel figure. Philips’ claim is relative to its older models, and it doesn’t list one.
Grinder, tank and maintenance
- Grinder: ceramic, 12 settings (Philips UK).
- Beans and water: 275g bean container and 1.8-litre tank (Philips UK).
- Pump and power: 15 bar and 1500W (Philips UK).
- Size and weight: 433mm long, 246mm wide and 371mm high, and 8kg (Philips UK).
- Descaling: both take an AquaClean filter. Philips says that if you change it when prompted, you won’t need to descale for up to 5,000 cups. Philips AquaClean water filter CA6903: Check price at Amazon for Philips AquaClean water filter CA6903 (opens in a new tab)
- In the box (EP3347/90): Currys lists a measuring scoop, water hardness test strip, AquaClean filter, grease tube and LatteGo storage lid.
Who it isn’t for: anyone with a shallow worktop. Measure the depth before ordering.
Smart features: the sources disagree
Currys lists wi-fi and compatibility with Philips’ HomeID app on the EP3347/90. Philips UK’s spec table for the same model says “Connectivity: No”, though its feature list mentions the HomeID app for inspiration and support. If app control matters, check with the retailer before buying.
Who it isn’t for: anyone buying the 3300 for smart-home features.

- Short menu: five pre-programmed drinks on each model.
