Tassimo: machines, T-Discs and running costs
The Tassimo range explained: Style, Happy, Finesse and My Way 2 compared on price and specs, what T-Discs cost per pack, and how Tassimo stacks up against other pod systems.

Tassimo is the pod coffee system made with Bosch machines and T-Disc pods from brands such as Kenco, Costa, L’OR and Cadbury. It’s one of the cheaper ways into pod coffee: check the Tassimo Style’s current price at Currys. This guide compares the main Tassimo machines, what the pods cost and who the system suits. We haven’t tested this in person. We’ve compared them using published specs, UK retailer listings and dated prices. Read how we compare.
How Tassimo works
Every Tassimo pod, called a T-Disc, carries a barcode. Currys’ listing for the Tassimo Happy explains that the machine’s Intellibrew system reads that barcode and brews the drink to suit, so you don’t set the water amount yourself. Each drink is brewed fresh from a single pod.
Milk drinks come from their own T-Disc packs, such as Costa Latte or Kenco Flat White, and none of the Currys listings below mention a milk frother. As the pod prices further down show, those milk-drink packs are labelled with fewer drinks than packs of black coffee.
Currys lists over 50 or over 60 pod types for the machines below, depending on the model, covering coffee, hot chocolate and more.
Tassimo machines compared
All four machines below were in stock at Currys on 3 Oct 2026. Specs are as Currys lists them.
Tassimo Style
The entry model. Check price at Currys. Currys lists a 0.7-litre tank, an adjustable cup stand and automatic shut-off, and it weighs 2.13kg. See it at Currys.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who makes several drinks in a row. A 0.7-litre tank needs refilling often.
Tassimo Happy
Check price at Currys. It also has a 0.7-litre removable tank, with one-touch brewing, and at 1.9kg it’s the lightest here. See it at Currys.
Who it isn’t for: bargain hunters, until you’ve compared it with the Style, which has the same tank size.
Tassimo My Way 2
Check price at Currys. This is the model for people who want some control. Currys lists a 1.3-litre tank, almost double the others, and a display that lets you adjust the volume, temperature and intensity of drinks. It comes with a Brita filter. See it at Currys.
Who it isn’t for: anyone happy with the default drinks. If you won’t change the settings, the cheaper machines brew from the same pods.
Tassimo Finesse
£89.99 at Bosch UK (checked 3 Oct 2026). Currys lists a 0.7-litre tank and over 60 pod types, with Intellibrew controlling water and temperature. We cover it in more depth in our Tassimo Finesse review. See it at Bosch UK.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants to adjust their drinks. The My Way 2 has a bigger tank and lets you change volume, temperature and intensity.
Which Tassimo should you buy?
- On a tight budget: the Style, the entry model.
- For a bigger tank and adjustable drinks: the My Way 2.
- For the lightest, simplest machine: the Happy.
Prices on Tassimo machines move a lot. Three of the four had recent was-prices on Currys, so check the current price before you buy.
What T-Discs cost
Pod prices matter more than the machine over time. These are prices at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026:
| Pack | Price | Labelled as |
|---|---|---|
| Kenco Americano Grande XL | £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x16 |
| Kenco 100% Colombian | £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x16 |
| Kenco Americano Decaff | £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x16 |
| Costa Americano | £5.70 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x12 |
| Kenco Flat White | £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x8 |
| Costa Latte | £5.70 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | x6 |
| Cadbury Hot Chocolate | £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026 | 10 cups |
For a black coffee, a 16-pack at £5.30 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, works out at about 33p a drink. Milk drinks cost more per cup because each pack makes fewer drinks: a Costa Latte pack labelled x6, at £5.70 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, works out at about 95p per drink if each labelled unit is one drink. Morrisons also showed a multibuy on several Tassimo packs on 3 Oct 2026, so check price at Morrisons.
Tassimo’s own UK shop offers a subscription with 30% off every order and free delivery, which it says you can skip, pause or cancel. One-off orders over £35 get free delivery, according to Tassimo UK, checked 3 Oct 2026.

Recycling Tassimo pods
Podback is a free UK pod recycling service created by Nestlé and Jacobs Douwe Egberts, the company behind Tassimo’s UK shop. Podback says it has more than 1,500 drop-off points and that 51% of UK households can recycle pods at a local council recycling centre. Its online Recycle Checker shows the options for your machine and postcode.
Tassimo vs other pod systems
Tassimo’s strengths are cheap machines, simple milk drinks and a wide choice of high-street brands. Nespresso and Dolce Gusto have their own advantages, including different pod ranges and compatible capsules. We compare all three in Tassimo vs Dolce Gusto vs Nespresso, and our pod machines hub covers the wider range.
