The Tassimo My Way 2 (TAS6502GB) is the Tassimo for people who want a say in their drink. Where basic Tassimo machines simply read the pod and brew, the My Way 2 lets you adjust strength, cup size and temperature and save your favourites, and it has a Brita filter in the tank. It was £99.99 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026, and £99.99 at Bosch UK, checked 3 Oct 2026. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on Bosch’s UK spec sheet, Currys’ listing and UK prices checked 3 Oct 2026. Read how we compare.

Tassimo My Way 2 review: the short answer

Buy the My Way 2 if you already like Tassimo drinks but want them stronger, longer or hotter than the pod’s default, or you live in a hard-water area and like the idea of a built-in Brita filter.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who’s happy with Tassimo’s defaults. A cheaper basic Tassimo brews the same pods.

Choose the Tassimo Finesse instead if you’d like a different Tassimo design and don’t need the My Way 2’s temperature setting or Brita filter. It’s £89.99 at Bosch UK (checked 3 Oct 2026), £10 less than the My Way 2 at Bosch UK; see our Tassimo Finesse review. Tassimo Finesse: See it at Bosch UK for Tassimo Finesse (opens in a new tab)

Who it isn’t for: anyone who hates refilling. Currys lists the Finesse with a 0.7-litre tank, about half the My Way 2’s.

Choose the Dolce Gusto Genio S Plus instead if you want cold drinks from pods and a lower price. It was £75.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026, prices can change; see our Genio S Plus review. Nescafé Dolce Gusto Genio S Plus: See it at Nescafé Dolce Gusto for Nescafé Dolce Gusto Genio S Plus (opens in a new tab)

Who it isn’t for: anyone attached to Tassimo’s branded pods, such as Costa and Kenco. The pods aren’t interchangeable.

Personalisation: strength, size and temperature

This is what the “My Way” name is about. Like every Tassimo, the machine reads a barcode on each T-Disc and sets the water amount, temperature and brewing time to match, which Bosch calls Intellibrew. The My Way 2 then lets you override that. Bosch says you can set temperature, volume and intensity, and Currys lists three strength settings and four preferences you can save.

The touch controls and LED display handle all this. For a household where one person wants a strong, short coffee and another a long, milder one from the same pod, saved preferences save fiddling every morning.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a true espresso. Currys lists the pump at 3.3 bar, far below espresso machines, so the “espresso” T-Discs make a different drink.

Brita filter, tank and design

Bosch lists a Brita water filter and a 1.3-litre removable tank. A filter is designed to help with taste and scale, though you’ll need to replace the cartridges. The machine has a flow heater, so Bosch says there’s virtually no heat-up time and only the water you need is heated, and it switches off after each brew.

The cup stand adjusts in height and lifts out completely for tall latte glasses or travel mugs, according to Bosch. It measures 29cm high, 23cm wide and 32.5cm deep and weighs 3kg in Bosch’s spec sheet; Currys lists 2.8kg. Power is 1,500W, and Currys lists the body as plastic.

Who it isn’t for: anyone wanting a premium-feeling machine. The build is mostly plastic with a chrome trim on the brew head.

Pods and drinks

The My Way 2 uses Tassimo T-Discs only. Bosch says there are up to 50 drinks, from brands including L’OR, Kenco and Costa, and Currys lists caffè crema, espresso, coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, hot chocolate, hot milk and tea. There’s no milk frother: milky drinks use a separate milk T-Disc. For pod picks, see our guide to the best Tassimo pods.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants to shop around for pods from many brands. You’re limited to T-Discs.

Cleaning and descaling

Bosch says each brew finishes with a steam purge, so flavours don’t carry over, and a cleaning disc lets you rinse the system. There’s an automatic cleaning and descaling programme, and Bosch sells descaling tablets for it. Our how to descale a Tassimo guide walks through the process.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who won’t replace the Brita filter. Leave an old filter in and you lose the benefit.

Downsides

  • Pod lock-in: T-Discs only.
  • No milk frother: milky drinks need milk pods.
  • Low pressure: 3.3 bar, according to Currys, so no true espresso.
  • Filter costs: Brita cartridges need replacing.
  • Plastic build: functional rather than premium.
