Krups Coffee Crush and Coffee Crush Experience review: can you buy it in the UK?
Our Krups Coffee Crush review: a 15cm-wide bean-to-cup machine for espresso, lungo and filter-style coffee with no milk programmes. Not sold in the UK when we checked on 3 Oct 2026.

This Krups Coffee Crush review explains what the machine is and whether you can buy it here. The Coffee Crush is a compact bean-to-cup machine that Krups says is just 15cm wide. It grinds beans, tamps the coffee automatically and brews espresso, lungo or filter-style coffee at 15 bar, according to Krups’ Spanish site. On 3 Oct 2026, Krups UK’s search didn’t return it and Currys didn’t list it, so we couldn’t find a UK price. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on Krups Spain’s listing for the beige Coffee Crush SA402AE0 and the UK retailer checks below. Read how we compare.
Quick answer: the Krups Coffee Crush is a 15cm-wide bean-to-cup machine for black coffee. The Coffee Crush Experience is the step-up version: on Krups Belgium’s comparison it adds a steam wand for hot milk and froth, cold brew, five grind settings and hot water at 70, 80 or 90°C. Neither was listed by Krups UK or Currys when we checked on 3 Oct 2026.
Krups Coffee Crush review: the short answer
Watch for the Coffee Crush if you drink black coffee and have almost no worktop space. Krups says it’s about half the size of other fully automatic machines, and the 15cm width is narrower than any bean-to-cup machine we’ve covered.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a cappuccino or latte at one touch. Krups lists no milk programmes for it, so plan on a separate milk frother. (Its spare-parts list does include a steam nozzle described as for frothing milk, so check the machine’s own listing if that matters to you.)
Skip it for now if you need a machine this month. We couldn’t find a UK retailer selling it on 3 Oct 2026.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants lots of control over grind. Krups lists three manual grind levels.
Can you buy the Krups Coffee Crush in the UK?
These are the checks we made on 3 Oct 2026:
- Krups UK: its site search for “coffee crush” and “crush” didn’t return the machine.
- Currys: not listed in its search.
- John Lewis and Argos: John Lewis’s site didn’t respond and Argos blocked our checks.
Krups’ Spanish site lists a beige Coffee Crush. If you see one listed in the UK, check that it has a UK plug and that UK warranty support is included, because Krups UK doesn’t list the model.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a clear UK price and warranty route today.
What the Coffee Crush does
Krups describes the Coffee Crush as a fully automatic machine for beans or ground coffee. According to its listing:
- Recipes: espresso, lungo and filter coffee.
- Grinder: a metal conical grinder with three manual grind levels.
- Tamping: automatic.
- Pressure: 15 bar.
- Controls: a touch panel with colour icons, where you pick a recipe and set coffee intensity. Krups also lists adjustable coffee temperature.
- Cups: one at a time.
That’s a short menu compared with most bean-to-cup machines. The filter coffee setting is the interesting one if you like a longer, milder cup.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants iced drinks or hot water on tap. Krups doesn’t confirm either on the listing we read.
Beans, ground coffee and the grounds drawer
The most unusual part is how the Coffee Crush handles used coffee. Krups says there’s no grounds container that fills up over days. Instead, the grounds compartment is removed after each drink and emptied with one click.
That same compartment is where you add pre-ground coffee, according to Krups, which makes it easy to brew a decaf without emptying the bean container. Krups lists a 150g bean container and a 1.8-litre water tank.
Who it isn’t for: households making several coffees in a row. Emptying the grounds after every drink adds a step each time, and 150g of beans won’t last long.
Cleaning and maintenance
Krups lists manual rinsing and cleaning programmes, an automatic scale indicator and an automatic descaling reminder. It doesn’t list a water filter system, and it lists no milk programmes.
Krups doesn’t give a descaling interval, so follow the machine’s reminder.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a filter cartridge to cut descaling. Krups lists none.
Power and size
Krups lists power of 1150–1370W and a width of 15cm. Its listing doesn’t give height, depth or weight, so check those on any retailer page before you buy.
Who it isn’t for: anyone fitting it under a low cupboard. Without a published height from Krups, measure once a UK listing appears.
Who the Coffee Crush suits
- Small kitchens and flats: at 15cm wide, according to Krups, it fits where a standard bean-to-cup machine won’t.
- Black coffee drinkers: espresso, lungo and filter coffee cover most black-coffee habits.
- Occasional decaf drinkers: the ground-coffee route means you don’t need a second bean container.
- Single-person households: one cup at a time and a 150g bean container suit light use better than a busy family.
Who it isn’t for: households that drink mostly lattes and cappuccinos. A machine with a built-in milk system will save you a step every morning.
Downsides
- Availability: not listed by Krups UK or Currys on 3 Oct 2026.
- No one-touch milk: Krups lists no milk programmes, so plan on a separate frother.
- Small menu: three recipes.
- Small bean container: 150g, according to Krups.
- Extra step: the grounds compartment is emptied after each drink.

A filter machine. If you mainly want long, filter-style coffee, our filter coffee machines hub covers machines built for it.
Who it isn’t for: the Baristina isn’t for filter-coffee drinkers, since it focuses on espresso and lungo; the standard bean-to-cup machines aren’t for the very small kitchens the Coffee Crush is built for.

The Belgian prices aren’t UK prices. Krups Spain’s listing for the SA402AE0 we cover above gives three grind levels and a filter coffee recipe, so the standard model’s spec varies by market. Check the model code on any listing you find. Krups Italy lists the Experience as the SA403BE0, with a steam nozzle and five manual grind levels.
Who should buy the Coffee Crush Experience
- Buy the Experience if you want an occasional cappuccino or latte from a machine this narrow, or you like cold brew. Krups lists a steam wand, so you froth the milk yourself.
- Buy the standard Coffee Crush if you only drink espresso and lungo and want the cheaper model.
- Buy neither if you want milky drinks at one touch. Krups lists no automatic milk programme on either.
