Lavazza coffee: the range explained, with UK prices

Qualità Oro, Qualità Rossa, Crema e Gusto, Espresso Italiano Classico and more: what Lavazza says about each blend, and what they cost per kg in the UK.

Lavazza is the Italian coffee brand behind Qualità Oro, Qualità Rossa and Crema e Gusto, all three of which Morrisons stocked when we checked. This guide explains how the main Lavazza blends differ, using the blend, roast and intensity details Lavazza publishes, and compares UK prices per kg checked on 3 Oct 2026. We haven’t tested this in person. Everything here comes from Lavazza’s own descriptions and UK retailer listings. Read how we compare.

The main Lavazza blends

Lavazza rates each coffee on its own intensity scale out of 10. The intensity figures in each section below come from Lavazza’s product pages, and the prices from Morrisons.

In short, Qualità Oro and Espresso Italiano Classico are both 100% Arabica at intensity 5, with a medium and a light roast respectively. Qualità Rossa blends Arabica and Robusta in a medium roast, also at intensity 5. Crema e Gusto Classico is the dark-roasted Arabica and Robusta blend at intensity 8, the strongest of the five, and Decaf Classico is the mildest at 3.

On these prices, Crema e Gusto in the 1kg bag is the cheapest Lavazza per kg, and the small bags of Qualità Oro cost the most. Bigger bags generally cost less per kg, so if you get through a lot of coffee, compare the per-kg price rather than the pack price.

Lavazza Qualità Oro

£6.50 for 250g of beans at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, and the same price for 250g ground. Lavazza describes Qualità Oro as 100% Arabica from Central and South America, medium roasted, with floral and fruity notes, and calls it smooth and aromatic. It’s the Lavazza we cover in most depth, in our Qualità Oro beans review. See it at Morrisons.

Who it isn’t for: anyone after a strong, dark espresso. Lavazza rates it 5 out of 10 for intensity.

Lavazza Qualità Rossa

£6.25 for 250g of ground coffee at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, or £11.65 for 500g, which works out cheaper per kg. Lavazza describes it as a blend of Arabica and Robusta from Africa, South America and Southeast Asia, medium roasted, with fruity and chocolate notes. It calls it rich and full-bodied. Read more in our Qualità Rossa review. See it at Morrisons.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who only wants 100% Arabica. Qualità Rossa includes Robusta.

Lavazza Crema e Gusto Classico

£18.50 for 1kg of beans at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, or £9.95 for two 250g packs of ground coffee. This is the strongest blend in our table: Lavazza gives it 8 out of 10 for intensity, with a dark roast, Arabica and Robusta, and woody notes. Lavazza says it was conceived for the espresso machine. See our Crema e Gusto review. See it at Morrisons.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who likes a lighter, milder cup. Lavazza’s lighter options are Espresso Italiano Classico and Qualità Oro.

Lavazza Espresso Italiano Classico

Who it isn’t for: anyone choosing on price per kg. In our table, it cost £5 more per kg than Crema e Gusto in the same 1kg size.

Lavazza decaf

£12.50 for 500g of Decaf Classico beans at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, or £6.50 for 250g ground. Lavazza describes it as a medium-roast Arabica and Robusta blend, rated 3 out of 10 for intensity, for espresso, moka pot and filter.
