Vertuo Lattissima review: Nespresso's Vertuo pods with one-touch milk
The Vertuo Lattissima adds a one-touch milk carafe to Nespresso's Vertuo pods. Currys had it at £199.00 on 3 Oct 2026, far below De'Longhi's £379.00. Here's who it suits.

This Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima review looks at the machine that finally puts automatic milk frothing on Nespresso’s Vertuo system. It’s made by De’Longhi and takes Vertuo pods, with a milk carafe that clips onto the front. When we checked on 3 Oct 2026, it was £199.00 at Currys (in stock) and £379.00 at De’Longhi UK (in stock), so where you buy makes a big difference. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on De’Longhi UK’s and Currys’ published specs, UK prices checked 3 Oct 2026, and published reviews from Trusted Reviews and Expert Reviews, linked below. Read how we compare.
Before this machine, Vertuo owners who wanted a cappuccino needed a separate frother, such as Nespresso’s Aeroccino. The Lattissima does it in one go: you choose a pod, set the dial to milk and press a button.
Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima review: the short answer
Buy the Vertuo Lattissima if you already like Vertuo coffee, you drink milky coffee most days and you want it at one touch with no separate gadget. At £199.00 at Currys (in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026), it costs the same as a Vertuo Next bundled with an Aeroccino at Currys. Who it isn’t for: anyone who likes to control the froth. Expert Reviews found there’s no way to adjust the level of foam, and the amount of milk depends on the pod you use.
Choose the Vertuo Pop with Aeroccino if you want Vertuo coffee and frothed milk for less. Currys sells the bundle at £109.00 (in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026), £90 less than the Lattissima. Nespresso Vertuo Pop: See it at Currys for Nespresso Vertuo Pop (opens in a new tab)
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a single machine. You froth milk in the Aeroccino jug and pour it yourself.
Skip the Vertuo system if you’d rather use Original pods. The De’Longhi Lattissima One is £209.00 at Currys (in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026). Our Lattissima One review covers it. Nespresso Lattissima One: See it at Currys for Nespresso Lattissima One (opens in a new tab)
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants large mugs or carafes of black coffee. Vertuo pods cover far more cup sizes than Original.
What it costs right now
These are the prices we found on 3 Oct 2026:
- Vertuo Lattissima ENV300.B (black): £199.00 at Currys, in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026. It’s £379.00 at De’Longhi UK, in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026.
- Vertuo Lattissima ENV300.W (white): £199.00 at Currys, in stock, checked 3 Oct 2026.
Currys didn’t show a was price, but £199.00 at Currys is £180 less than £379.00 at De’Longhi UK (both checked 3 Oct 2026); prices can change. De’Longhi includes a two-year warranty on its own site, while Currys lists a one-year manufacturer’s guarantee, so check the terms before you choose. We couldn’t load Nespresso UK’s or John Lewis’s pages, so we’ve left them out.

Coffee sizes and milk drinks
De’Longhi UK lists six black coffee sizes: espresso, double espresso, gran lungo, mug, alto and carafe, using four pod sizes. The machine reads each pod and sets the brew to suit, so you don’t choose the volume yourself. Trusted Reviews notes that you can override the default by holding the button, though few people will need to.
For milk, Currys lists three options: cappuccino, latte macchiato and hot milk foam. The clever part, and the catch, is that the milk amount changes with the pod. Trusted Reviews found finished drinks range from about 180ml to 590ml depending on the pod and recipe, so you need to pick a cup big enough before you press the button.
Other listed features include a 25-second heat-up, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for app alerts and software updates, and automatic switch-off after two minutes (De’Longhi UK and Currys).
Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a flat white or a small, strong milky coffee on demand. You’re limited to the recipes and sizes the machine sets.
Specs and size
- Water tank: 1.6 litres
- Milk container: 300ml, according to Currys
- Heat-up: 25 seconds
- Used pod container: six to ten pods, according to De’Longhi UK
- Power: 1,500W (Currys)
- Size: 36cm high, 25.5cm wide and 43.5cm deep, according to Currys
- Weight: 6.43kg (Currys)
- In the box: the machine, milk carafe, water tank, cup tray and a Nespresso welcome pack of pods (Currys)
Trusted Reviews points out that it looks much like the Vertuo Next, just a little wider to make room for the carafe, and its drip tray adjusts for different cup heights.
Who it isn’t for: shallow worktops. At 43.5cm deep, measure before you order.
Cleaning and upkeep
The milk carafe is the part that needs the most attention. Expert Reviews says it isn’t chilled, so leftover milk needs to go back in the fridge, and that it comes apart easily for the dishwasher or the sink. Currys’ listing doesn’t mark any parts as dishwasher-safe, so check the manual for Nespresso’s advice.
Currys lists rinsing and descaling programmes. Expert Reviews adds that a water hardness test strip comes in the box, you can set one of five hardness levels, and an orange light tells you when it’s time to descale. There’s no clip-in water filter, so if you live in a hard-water area a filter jug may help.
Who it isn’t for: anyone who won’t clean a milk carafe regularly. That’s the trade-off for one-touch milk.
What published reviews say
Trusted Reviews liked how simple it is and the quality of its milk drinks, calling it a good upgrade for Vertuo fans. Its main warning was to think about pod size before pouring, because that decides how big the drink will be.
Expert Reviews was impressed by the coffee and ease of use, but found the manual lever occasionally failed to lock a pod in place, so the machine sometimes threw an unused pod into the bin. It also found the machine louder than the Vertuo Plus while brewing, and suggested a separate Vertuo machine and frother is much cheaper at full price.
Who it isn’t for: anyone hoping for barista-style control. Both reviews describe a convenience machine, not a hobby one.
Downsides
- Price varies hugely. De’Longhi UK’s £379.00 is nearly double Currys’ £199.00 (both checked 3 Oct 2026).
- No froth control. Expert Reviews found you can’t adjust the foam level.
- Drink size depends on the pod. You’ll need the right cup for each pod and recipe.
- Occasional pod-locking issue. Expert Reviews had the lever fail to lock a pod now and then.
- No water filter. You may want a filter jug in hard-water areas.
