This Nespresso Lattissima review covers the Lattissima One, for anyone who wants lattes and cappuccinos from a pod machine without buying a separate milk frother. The Lattissima One is the cheaper of the two Original-system Lattissima machines (the other is the Gran Lattissima), with milk frothing built in. It’s £209.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026. We haven’t tested this in person. Our verdict is based on Currys’ published specs, dated UK prices and supermarket pod prices. TechRadar has published a review of the Lattissima One, which we haven’t summarised here. We haven’t found a clear pattern in owner reviews that we can cite and link yet. Read how we compare.

Nespresso Lattissima One review: the short answer

Buy the Lattissima One if you drink one milky coffee at a time and want it at the press of a button. You pour milk into the small jug, pick a drink, and the machine froths and adds the milk for you. Because it’s an Original-system machine, you can also buy cheaper supermarket pods.

Who it isn’t for: anyone making drinks for two or three people in a row. The milk jug holds 165ml, according to Currys, so you’ll be refilling it for every drink.

Choose the CitiZ if you mostly drink espresso and don’t need milk at all. It’s £174.99 at Currys (checked 3 Oct 2026) and takes the same pods. Our Nespresso CitiZ review covers it in full. Nespresso CitiZ: See it at Currys for Nespresso CitiZ (opens in a new tab)

Who it isn’t for: latte drinkers. The CitiZ has no frother, so you’d need to add one.

What it costs right now

We couldn’t confirm a price at Nespresso UK, whose site blocked our check, so Currys is the only retailer we’re quoting.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who can wait. It’s worth checking prices around Black Friday; our Black Friday coffee machine guide explains how to judge a price drop.

How the one-touch milk jug works

This is the Lattissima One’s big selling point, and its biggest limit. Currys lists a milk container of 165ml and says the machine’s sensor measures how much milk is in the jug, then uses all of it. In other words, you decide the amount of milk by how much you pour in, and there’s no half-full jug left over afterwards.

Currys lists the milk range as 30ml to 165ml, with three programmes: espresso, lungo and milk. The drinks it lists include cappuccino and latte macchiato. Both the milk container and the drip tray come off, and Currys says the removable parts are dishwasher safe.

The bigger Gran Lattissima, by contrast, has a 500ml milk container, according to Currys. That’s the model for households who want several milky drinks without refilling, but at £419.00 at De’Longhi UK (checked 3 Oct 2026) it costs about twice as much.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants to learn latte art. An automatic jug like this froths for you; there’s no steam wand to texture milk yourself.

Specs and size

From Currys’ listing (checked 3 Oct 2026):

  • Pods: Nespresso Original
  • Water tank: 1 litre, removable
  • Pressure: 19 bar
  • Power: 1,450W
  • Size: 25.6cm high, 14.4cm wide and 32.4cm deep
  • Weight: 4.2kg
  • Auto power-off: after 2, 9 or 30 minutes
  • Other details: adjustable cup stand, water level indicator, and a body made from 24% recycled plastic
  • Guarantee: 2 years (domestic use)

At 14.4cm wide it’s slim enough for a crowded worktop. A 1-litre tank is fine for one or two people, but it’ll need topping up more often than a bigger machine’s.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who wants a large mug of black coffee. Currys lists a 40ml coffee size and doesn’t give a lungo volume, so think espresso-based drinks, not mugs.

Pods and running costs

Because it’s an Original-system machine, the Lattissima One takes compatible pods from other brands as well as Nespresso’s own. Two examples from UK supermarkets’ own sites, checked 3 Oct 2026:

  • Starbucks by Nespresso House Blend, 36 pods: £9.25 at Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, checked 3 Oct 2026, about 26p a pod. Check price at Waitrose and Tesco too. See it at Morrisons
  • L’OR Lungo Profondo, 40 pods: £10.00 at Morrisons, checked 3 Oct 2026, about 25p a pod. See it at Morrisons

Pod prices change often, so check the shop on the day. Remember to add the cost of the milk for every latte. We couldn’t confirm what Nespresso charges for its own Original pods, so we haven’t put a figure on those.

Who it isn’t for: anyone who only wants Nespresso’s own pods and won’t shop around. Then the Original system’s cheaper-pod advantage doesn’t help you much.

Nespresso Lattissima review: how the One compares with its rivals

  • Vertuo Lattissima (ENV300.B): £199.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026, prices can change. Currys lists a 300ml milk carafe, a 1.6-litre tank and 6 cup sizes. It’s £10 cheaper today and makes bigger drinks, but it only takes Nespresso’s own Vertuo pods. Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima: See it at Currys for Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima (opens in a new tab)
  • CitiZ & Milk (EN267.BAE): £225.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026. It comes with a separate Aeroccino frother, per Currys, so milk is a two-step job.
  • Gran Lattissima (EN640.B): £419.00 at De’Longhi UK, checked 3 Oct 2026, with the 500ml milk container mentioned above.

For more pod systems side by side, see our pod machines guide, and for a cheaper Vertuo without milk, our Vertuo Pop review. Nespresso Vertuo Pop: See it at Currys for Nespresso Vertuo Pop (opens in a new tab)

Who it isn’t for: anyone set on Vertuo’s bigger drinks. At today’s prices, the Vertuo Lattissima is the closer match.

Downsides

  • One drink per fill: the 165ml milk container suits one person at a time.
  • Small drinks only: Currys lists a 40ml coffee size and no mug setting.
  • Price may change: £209.00 at Currys, checked 3 Oct 2026, prices can change.
  • Milk cleaning: the milk container and drip tray need washing regularly, though Currys says the parts are dishwasher safe.
  • Nespresso pod prices unconfirmed: we couldn’t check Nespresso’s own pod prices.
